Welcome

On behalf of the IVEC-2027 Conference Committee, we would like to welcome you to the 28th International Vacuum Electronics Conference to be held in Bengaluru, the Garden City of India during 15-18 March 2027. As is customary, our 2027 conference will be under the technical sponsorship of the Vacuum Electronics Technical Committee (VETC) under the aegis of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS).

The IVEC meeting continues its legacy of convening thriving and lively international scientific conference discussions focused on vacuum electronics research and innovation. These meetings have been held at locations across the world; we are pleased to welcome you to Bengaluru, India, this year.

This conference has been arranged to facilitate the presentation and discussion of information useful to manufacturers, systems application engineers, academics, and students. Traditionally, IVEC attracts a diverse group of attendees. The technical presentation and poster sessions, exhibitor showcases, and social events will provide unique opportunities to renew old or establish new contacts and friendships with colleagues, customers and end users, and students.

We invite you to submit papers with the results of your latest work and experiences in the field of vacuum electronics. Submissions from all groups are highly encouraged and appreciated. IVEC-2027 will provide a unique forum for the exchange of scientific and technical information and will foster collaboration and cooperation in the vacuum electronics domain in the world.

As in the past, we will open this conference with mini-course lectures on Monday, March 15, 2027. Subsequently, the three-day conference will follow, Tuesday, March 16, through Thursday, March 18, through oral and poster technical presentations on the regular topical tracks of the IVEC. Each day will commence with a plenary session to cover talks from the eminent speakers from the vacuum electronics community.

As is customary at IVEC, the John R. Pierce Award for Excellence in Vacuum Electronics, the Vacuum Electronics Young Scientist Award and the Best Student Paper Award will be presented. The Conference will also be complemented with a varied and interesting social program, details of which will be posted on the IVEC-2027 website in the months to come. As in past conferences, the technical meeting and social events will provide a unique opportunity to renew friendships with colleagues and friends, interact with customers, and meet students.
